Subrena has dedicated 42 years to service in the court system and has been actively involved with GASCJA since 2001, when she began serving on the Personnel Committee and later joined the Executive Committee. Throughout her years of service, she has held several leadership positions, including Recording Secretary, Vice President, and President, and she currently serves as a General Member.

During her term as President from 2017 to 2019, Subrena played an instrumental role in changing the association’s name to the Georgia Association of Superior Court Judicial Assistants, better reflecting the profession and membership it represents.

In 2015, she was honored with the Liberty Bell Award by the Valdosta Bar Association in recognition of her service.

Outside of work, Subrena enjoys movies, shopping, trips to the beach and Nashville, Tennessee, and adding to her extensive music collection.
